The Need For A Water Softener In Arizona

Living in a desert, you are bound to have water problems. But hard water is not an unsolvable problem, only an irritable one.

Hard water is high in dissolved minerals, especially calcium and magnesium. Although it is not a health risk, it can cause mineral build up, which can clog and shorten the efficiency of shower heads, pipes, toilets, and other appliances.

It also causes problems in your laundry. Washing clothes in hard water can make them feel scratchy and look dingy. Hard water can also damage the fibers in clothes, causing their deterioration by up to 40%.

Not only does soap not lather well in your laundry, but it can cause problems in the shower as well. The soap left on your skin from the use of hard water can cause your skin to feel irritated and dry. Also, it can make your hair unmanageable and dull.

Also, this condition causes spotting and films to develop on your dishes when washed in the dishwasher. This is a result of the minerals being released quickly when they come into contact with the hot water.

This problem can be prominent in desert places such as Arizona. The solutions to hard water can be fixed by distillation, reverse osmosis, or a water softener. Since filtration is usually more expensive, it is less costly to go with a water softener. A water softener simply removes the calcium and magnesium ions and replaces them with non-damaged sodium ions. An Arizona water softener installation is the most cost-effective solution to all of the problems of hard water.
