Photographs are perhaps the most telling evidences that memories play a big part in how we live and look at life. Precious photos of loved ones are framed and displayed on table tops and walls of our homes and office spaces.

In homes, the framed photos are often conversation pieces. Visitors will most likely look at your framed photos. The importance of the memory of a loved one or showing how much another is cherished can be reflected in the kind of frames used to hold the pictures. Photo frames are available in wood, metal, plastic, and ceramic. Old families usually have heirloom photo frames made of intricately crafted gold or silver. These are custom-made pieces that increase in value over time.

For big families, the organization of framed photos on a table top or wall can be a daunting task. To avoid the cluttered look, choose photo frames that can accommodate several pictures. The bigger frame may still occupy a large space on your wall or table top, but at least they are more organized this way. Recent technological innovations however have given us an alternative choice, as there is now what is called the digital or electronic photo frame.

Digital photo frames have found a way to go beyond the physical impossibility of displaying several photos in a frame. With this innovation, you can digitally store up to fifty pictures per frame. The pictures are shown through a sideshow. You can add music or sound to the slideshow to enhance the overall effect. Imagine: you can have a slideshow of your kid?s photos, showing his growth from infancy to adulthood, all in one frame

This kind of photo frame is quite new to the market and is priced much higher than your ordinary photo frames, but it surely can save you space on your table. It also comes with software that automatically resizes pictures to fit the frame.
