One popular thing to do nowadays is to take an antique dresser and make it into a vanity for a bathroom. It will give you a unique piece that will set your room apart. Read this article for some tips on making this an easy project that you can do.
The first thing you have to do is locate the proper piece of furniture. You have to find one that is the perfect height, width and depth for your room. Be sure to know the depth of the sink that you will be installing so that you are sure it will fit. Once you have the piece of furniture you will want to find the center of the piece and drill a small starter hole. You will then place your template which comes with the new sink on the top of the dresser and using a jig saw cut out the hole. Next you will cut out an opening in the back of the dresser for the plumbing. After applying a few counts of polyurethane to the surface of the dresser to protect it from water you will put the dresser in place and install the sink. Now connect the water lines and plumbing checking for leaks carefully. Finally you will reinstall the drawer or doors to the cabinet. You might have to make modifications to the drawers depending on how your plumbing fits. Now just install the faucet and you are done.
