As the popularity of ceramic tiles have waxed and waned over the years, people have looked for various ways to differentiate their home from others. As early as 6000 B.C., copper was used for making beautiful jewelry worn by Egyptian pharos and was considered a precious metal. Current trends have taken copper to new places in our own personal Egyptian palace we call home. Decorative hand-carved copper tiles are finding their way into elegant tile designs as center pieces to larger ceramic tile patterns. Entryway tiled floors, kitchen backsplashes, bathroom tiled floors, tiled bathtubs, fireplace mantles, and other tile covered surfaces are being beautified by homeowners with copper tiles.
