A Brief Guide to DVD Player Rentals

DVD player rentals are essential when you re taking a long trip and you re either a very picky movie buff or are lucky (or unlucky) enough to travel with the kids.
You have two choices when it comes to DVD player rentals. First, you can rent one before you leave. Second, you can rent one at the place you re staying.
Before Leaving Home
Shops that offer DVD player rentals will usually ask you if you want the player delivered to your doorstep or if you would rather swing by their nearest branch and pick it up yourself. Some companies even have store outlets strategically located inside or close to airports for easy pick-up.
Return policies differ for most companies so it s up to you to choose which is the most reasonable. Some would allow you to return the player you rented to any of the company s branches. Many would require you to return it to the same branch you obtained it from. For an additional fee, companies can send you a prepaid mailer package for instant and hassle-free return of the product.
After Leaving Home
If your destination is a first-class hotel or resort, these places most likely offer DVD rental services to keep your children happy when left alone in the hotel room. Otherwise, you could try looking for a video rental store that also offers DVD player rentals to customers. These stores would usually require non-members to leave a deposit or check or provide a valid ID and credit card details for security purposes.
Accessories and DVDs
Most, if not all, stores offer you one free DVD movie - to watch, not to keep - for each day you reserve the DVD player for your private use.
Accessories are optional, so rent them only if necessary. Extra batteries would be handy if you re taking a long road trip with hyperactive children. Two sets of headphones would be ideal if you and your partner wish to make use of the DVD player together during a flight.
